Co-Director


Jes Allie

is an independent curator and arts organizer. She received her Master of Fine Arts in Curatorial Practice from Maryland Institute College of Art in 2024. With over ten years of experience in the art and culture, she has had the opportunity to work with a number of national and international arts organizations and institutions such as the University of Michigan Museum of Art (UMMA),  Red Bull Arts, Contemporary&, Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit (MOCAD), SPACES, Independent Curators International, Lincoln Center and ApexArt. Her main focus is exploring how the arts continue to act as a means of cultural preservation among change.




Co-Director

Jova Lynne

is a working artist and arts administrator. Lynne received a Master of Fine Arts in Photography at Cranbrook Academy of Art in 2017, and has exhibited in a variety of galleries and public museums including the Detroit Institute of Arts, Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, and Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art. She is a grantee from various foundations which have supported her work in media and social practice-based projects in Kingston, Jamaica and Berlin, Germany in addition to the United States. Jova Lynne’s work is part of the permanent collections of Harvard Art Museums, the Detroit Institute of Arts, and the Cranbrook Art Museum amongst others. Lynne has most recently served as the Director of Exhibitions and Public Programs at Tyler School of Art and Architecture and is the Artistic Director at the Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit.

Clare Gatto

is an artist, educator, and arts organizer living and working in Detroit, MI.  They have attended artist residencies Vermont Studio Center, ACRE, Velferden Scene in Norway, and Sim in Iceland. Gatto is a recipient of Culture Sources 2023 Creators of Culture and Flourish Fund. In February of 2024 they were artists in residence at The Institute for Electronic Arts at Alfred.




Co-Director


Meg Kelley

is an interdisciplinary artist with training in both photography and sculptural media. Through image and object making, their work’s main exploration lies in the relationship between the digital space and the human experience. What is fluid and what must stay behind.

Kelley earned a BFA from University of Cincinnati (DAAP) in 2013, and went on to receive an MFA from Cranbrook Academy of Art in 2017. Now residing in their hometown Chicago, they continue their art and administrative work as a co-director and co-founder of Bulk Space.
